Challenges

The general project objective is integrating and building regional capacity in IKS in the biosciences through training and networking to strengthen linkages in initiating and implementing regional development projects.

This project will involve:

  • identifying and establishing a database of training institutions, academics, postgraduates and researchers in the region involved in IKS in the biosciences. This provides a basis for creating viable regional networks for conducting regional awareness workshops on IKS in biosciences
  • postgraduate training (Masters and Doctorate) in IKS in biosciences.
